Dear Lakeside Hashers
For this run Quick Lay has invited our neighbouring Hash Western Suburbs to join us on a combined run from the Racecourse Hotel in Malvern East. Joint runs were somewhat of a regular occurrence before Covid (remember the Halloween run of October 31st 2018 from the Maori Chief Hotel - GM Astro - what a year that was!) and of course we meet up at New Moon runs, so when Quick Lay proposed a joint Hash run I immediately supported the initiative as in yes! its about time! That we might reciprocate and do a Tuesday run with them is something for the new committee to decide. For now lets just pile on tram no 3 and enjoy a run and meal with our closest neighbours.
The details are:
Run 2042

Please note: change of venue!
For this run we welcome back to Hash Cheesecake and Back Again. The previous location they selected for their run was not suitable and we will now meet at the Elsternwick Station Reserve. This park is well served by public transport but if you do choose to come by car there is parking in the nearby streets and behind Chemist Wharehouse. The run will go through Hopetoun Gardens and there you will see for yourselves the reason for the change in location: the rotunda we were to shelter in, has been completely demolished!

Dear Lakeside Hashers
"How many trails must a man run down before he calls it a day?
Yes ’n’ how many years can a Hasher run
Before they find legs give way?
Yes ’n’ how many aches will it take till he knows
It is time to say nay nay?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind.
The answer is blowin' in the wind.”
For this run NickelB is bringing us back to the now fully operational Ale Works. It was generally agreed, the last time we were there, that the Ale Works was an ideal Hash venue and we thought it deserved another visit. The above poem is NickelB’s, a reworking of a Bob Dylan song printed on the back of his t-shirt giveaway for his 80th birthday run. Now two years on, he is still chugging along, still setting runs for us - never ever will say nay nay. The line in our song we sing - ‘He’s a hasher through and through!’ - could have been written just for him!
The details are:
Run 2040

Venue: Ramblers Ale Works, 96 Riversdale Rd, (cnr Riversdale & Glenferrie) Hawthorn.
