[Members] Drinking cup

Hi hashers What with ENB’s campaign to save the planet from plastic and Cyclone’s campaign to save us from the dreaded virus, we can’t use the normal clear plastic cups-glasses at drink stops & circles and it’s deeply impractical to lug around one’s own drinking vessel because they’re usually cumbersome and heavy. At decathlon today I found this thing (see picture). It squashes up, weighs 10 grams, has a plastic ring for attaching to things, holds 200 mls. So runners or walkers can attach it to a body part - it’s light enough to be an earring, or stick it on your dog’s collar so one could still run or walk without any encumbrances and voila - you would have your own drinking vessel at the drink stop and circle. the body is some sort of squishy rubberised plastic stuff and rim and ring are plastic. It wouldn’t last forever, but you’d get a few months out of it and it’s better than what we’re trying to do now. You can get any colour as long as it’s blue. They cost $10 and yes, it’s highway robbery, but if anyone wants one I can revisit Decathlon next week and buy a couple. Cheesecake
