Dear friends and colleagues,

You are invited to join our La Trobe Archaeology Zoom webinar at 8:30 pm on Thursday, 15 October (Australian Eastern Daylight Time [AEDT]; for attendees in other regions, please check your equivalent local time) to hear Professor Andy Fairbairn (University of Queensland) speak on the topic ‘Cultivating and foraging on Turkey's Konya Plain from 9500-7,000 BC: insights from Pinarbasi, Boncuklu and Canhasan III.’

This research has pushed the advent of agriculture in the region earlier than previously known. It  was a way of life that formed the basis for the major Neolithic settlement of Çatalhöyük.
