Dear friends and colleagues,
You are invited to join our La Trobe Archaeology Zoom webinar at 8:30 pm
on Thursday, 8 October (Australian Eastern Standard Time [AEST]; for
attendees in other regions, please check your equivalent local time) to
hear Shahina Farid (Historic England) speak on the topic ‘Building
relationships at Neolithic Çatalhöyük - unravelling the chronological
development of the settlement.’
Like a supernova amongst galaxies of Neolithic settlements, Çatalhöyük in
Turkey is the biggest and best preserved early farming village in the
Middle East. Over the course of two decades, Shahina Farid acted as the
field director of a massive multinational and interdisciplinary
investigation at the site. In her talk Shahina tracks the course of its
development, room by room and house by house.
Register in advance for the seminar at the following link by 5 pm,
Thursday 8 October (AEST).
