SUMMARY OF THE PERFORMANCE
In short, it’s a bit like a ghost tour of the mansion. It’s a play set in the early days of Victoria, when the mansion was owned by the Chirnside family. (You might’ve heard of the suburb near Lilydale called Chirnside Park – same family.) The Chirnsides owned a lot of Victoria; had a lot to do with people in high places; had a lot to do with the sheep industry. Anyway what the audience experiences is a tour of the mansion, led by the butler and the head maid who are taking advantage of showing us around while the owners are not there.
If you’ve ever enjoyed a hash event at Swamp Rat’s Harewood mansion in Westernport Bay, then you’ll love this one too. There’s no need to dress up though. Just come in modern day dress, suitable for visiting high falluting dignatories.
(And just reply to this email to let me know if you’re going.)
Cheers for now.
