Dear Lakeside Hashers
A new venue for us, best described as sprawling gardens jammed between two roundabouts and
squished against the Camberwell railway embankment, and our only instructions are to make
our way to its west side and gather under the old oak tree! Wow! Wild Rider’s got to get a
photo of that! Kokup describes the venue as 'the place Ive just got to set a run
from’, and looking at Map 45 the possibilities for exciting trail do seem endless. Parking
to be found in Loch and Russell Sts. Weather partly cloudy, 30. Enjoy!

Run 2031
Date: Wednesday February 16th
Hares: Kokup & Punch
Venue: Read Gardens/Park, Camberwell.
Toilets: Camberwell Station
Assemble: at the west end to the park ‘under the old oak tree’!
Food: Pizza $10 pp
Drinks: Hash eskies (thanks Whippet!)
Getting there:
- by car - Melways map 45 K11. Parking in streets nearby.
- by train - to Camberwell Station. A short walk along Cookson St to the park.

Directions:
Follow the Western Highway to Bacchus Marsh, take exit C704. Proceed south through Bacchus
Marsh. At the roundabout just before the railway line, turn right into Griffith St. Follow
this as it becomes Bacchus Marsh - Balliang Road. Proceed under railway bridge and at the
roundabout, turn right into Glenmore Road. Soon after, turn left into Reids Road (signpost
Brisbane Ranges). Continue about 6k to a vertical signpost, Aeroplane Road. Follow this
gravel road about 1k to the Picnic Area. No facilities except wood BBQ.
