...or have a Walkers circle and Runners circle because, who cares about the walkers...?

We could do that. Normally the pack would be
spread out enough, I think. We should limit the
circle to 10. Or have two circles. Could have 10 outside, 5 inside.

Im keen as long as we keep up the social
distancing. Should stagger the runners to go
every 5 minutes or so. 2 runners in each group or something like that.

Actually Peanuts, we can have 10 walkers, 10
shortcutters and 10 runners. I will, of course,
be at the front with the runners.

Count me in too, if there is still room. Or do
you think we can justify 10 runners and separately 10 walkers? Peanuts.

With the new rules, it may be possible to have a
run on Wednesday. Outside circle limited to 10.
I could host it if desired.

COVIDVIRUS RUNS UPDATE - RUNS CANCELLED FOR THE TIME BEING
Greetings all
I hope everyone is staying safe and managing the
new social separation restrictions as best they can.
In my last email I set out a plan that
considered a workable solution to keep LH3 runs
going - acknowledging that we needed to be
flexible and responsive if the Covid 19 situation changed .
Unfortunately, the situation has changed and
there are new social distancing regulations and
constraints being announced daily - these are
likely to become even more restrictive and stringent.
I am aware that many of us have a range of views
on how we should continue - or not - but for the
time being I THINK (ON BALANCE) THAT IT IS BEST IF WE SUSPEND RUNS
While I think it might actually be possible,
with some effort and a lot of planning, to keep
runs going and manage the social distancing. I
think it would still be unwise. We would risk
damage to our reputation - and this could last longer than the Coronavirus.
Hopefully - as a club we can all live with this
short term solution. I will send a weekly update
message to keep everyone in the current thinking loop.
Let's try to think of creative solutions to keep
the challenges and camaraderie going - all
thoughts and suggestions will be considered

Greetings all
I want to start with a big thank you to E&B for
last night's run - huge effort in trying times
to put on a great celebration for Cooch and her
20th anniversary. A knock out Pina Colada punch
set every one off in a very jovial state and a
fun circle in a park at the end of a seriously
short-cutted run, with Chicken Dicken in the
highest of spirits, topped Run 1957 off nicely.
It was so good in fact that WE ARE DOING THE
SAME (almost) RUN NEXT WEEK - hopefully without
the short cutting and definitely without the killer colada
MOVING ON OVER THE NEXT FEW CORONAVIRUS IMPACTED MONTHS
There has been quite a bit of discussion about
whether we should continue to meet on a
Wednesday evening and I know some of us have
very strong views on this. Some H3 clubs have
cancelled or suspended runs for the foreseeable
future others have decided on BAU.
Official advisories and conditions and
constraints on gatherings are changing daily and
we will need to be flexible enough to be
responsive to this but for now we have decided that:
LH3 will continue to set a weekly run.
Runs will start and finish in an open space
where social distancing is possible.
Circle will be at the end of the run - with down
down drinks but there will be no meal provided
Everyone is to bring their own drinking vessels
for down down's and other drinks if they want additional drinks
If any members want a meal they can organise it
separately - maybe with take away and support a local business.
These are trying times and it is going to be
tricky but I sensed enough enthusiasm among
members that I am certain we can make this work.
Members must absolutely choose to do what is
right for them - come along and take care or
withdraw until this period has passed - it is all personal best choice.
Hares may need to step up as members who
withdraw are not available to set runs - thanks
to those who have already anticipated this and offered ðŸ™
Finally - as a GM's call and while we are going
through this phase - all H3 events organised by
Hashers and attended by LH3 members will be
official LH3 events - you can sign them in the
book and they will count as runs. The logic
behind this decision is that H3 is about social
connection as much as it is about the runs and
I want to place appropriate value on this. I am
assuming that no one will have a real issue with
this but if any one does either my GMship or the
Coronavirus will have run their course and it will change back.
Thanks everyone for your support and commitment to LH3
Please give thought to the course of action you
want to take and do what is best for you.
I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT FUTURE RUNS - WHENEVER
ON ON
