Dear Lakeside Hashers
For this weeks run we join other Melbourne Hashes at the Heidelberg Football Clubrooms to participate in D & E’s AGM. This is usually looked upon as a chance to do a bit of networking and catching up with hash mates from other clubs. The D & E Hash know how to put on a good meal (usually spit roast with a range of delicious salads for the non meat eaters), tell a yarn or two and make every effort to entertain us. You won’t be disappointed!

Dear Lakeside Hashers
For this run we welcome back Chicken Dicken and applaud his choice of venue - the Water Rat - their Mt Zero organic farro risotto (roast pumpkin, Tuscan Kale, parmesan and almonds) is to die for! We also return to the city, to a Sth Melbourne at a time of Grand Prix preparations and an Albert Park all but fenced off. The hare may scramble us around their barricades and stretch our legs down the main straight - vroom, vroom, here we come! (big race is Sunday 15th of March).

Dear Lakeside Hashers
Diamond Creek, takes its name from a tributary of the Yarra River, on account of crystalline stones observed on the creek bed. Local legend would have it that a much loved bullock called Diamond passed away in its waters. The Diamond Creek Reserve cuts an enticing swathe through the township and some hilly dirt roads loom on the horizon which Im sure the hare will make good use of. All under a starry starry night.
The details are:

Dear Lakeside Hashers
For the Waitangi Day run we welcome back What She Said, a Kiwi from the town of Whakatane in the centre of the North Island of NZ. A new venue, (remembering the drenching rain that washed out our circle last year), we have moved from the banks of the Yarra to the banks of the Merri Creek.. There is a ’shelter & BBQ’ - officially called the Westfield Rotunda - found in Yarra Bend Rd (off Heidelberg Rd). Parking will not be a problem! Come along and enjoy some superb running/walking through Yarra Bend Park, Studley Park and along the banks of the mighty Yarra River.
