Lakesiders: remember the ladt time we hosted the ball; at the Wattle Park Lodge; medievel theme; throwing wet sponges at the GM while she was locked up in shackles; jostling and all themed entertainments??? Remember how we wanted lots of people attending to see how clever we were with our theme and decor? And remember our 2009 Balls Up that we hosted in the Richmond bowls club with the theme of an end of war party, a ,40s swing band, a fred estare movie playing on a screen, the bombs recording at the entrance. And remember Ballarat’s Ballsups of 2001 and later for the marsi gras theme? What absolute FUN they all were. So Let’s get a few tables together, register, pay our money, arrange a designated driver or uber and go and have fun!

This virus keeps creating hash havoc
No Lakeside run for next week ... but we have fingers crossed for the 18th

It looked like a Hoot! My only complaint is that, from reports, 4-PACK and
PRINCE conducted the circle with great skill and gravity - This job is not

I would like to thank you all for your support and messages during my recovery from injuring my ankle, and in particular Prickly Bush whose quick thinking on the night greatly reduced the risk of serious injury. With physio and jogging circuits of the Heidelberg Fitness Track I should be back running for Pog’s run. Meanwhile we need hares for the two runs to complete the August/September run list. For this run we journey to the Peanut Farm in St Kilda. This is Klingons backyard. Expect a grand tour of all the landmarks - Luna Park, the historic picture palace the Palais, St KIlda Marina of course the Esplanade - and possibly an on home down Acland street. This is hashing at its purest, as its founder ‘G’ Gispert intended. Bring warm clothing for the circle.
