Thank you Cyclone.
On Wednesday we had a pleasant run, touching base with Albert Park Lake and returning to Middle Park via the beach, with the trail marked on the wet sand (hare Klingon),
Present were Shiny Dick, Addon, Klingon, Whippet, 4Pack, Pog, What she said, AhSole, and E&B (left early). I was good to see each other again.
The previous week there was also a run, attended by Pog, Klingon, SOAS and Chicken Dicken (hare Pog).
Pog will set the next run.

Dear Lakeside Hashers
For this run we welcome back Mummies Boy. Who could forget the last run he set. I wasn’t there but apparently it was a city run that ticked all the boxes.
For this run we leave the city behind, in fact we move virtually into Mummies back yard, not quite Wattle Glen but very close. Hold that thought and lets hear from the hare himself: “Montmorency is one of the most cartographically challenging locales in Melbourne, with its network of oblique and winding roads. Markings in chalk and flour will be provided on the ground to assist the runners.”
I think that means bring two torches - one for each eyeball!
The details are:
Run 2047
Date: Wednesday May 25th
Hare: Mummies Boy
Venue: Montmorency & Eltham RSL, Mountainview Rd, Montmorency.

Drinks: from the bar.
Bring: torches.
Getting there:
- by car - Melways map 21 D5
- by train - on the Hurstbridge Line to Montmorency Station. A short walk along Binns St to Mountainview Rd.

Dear Lakeside Hashers
What a weekend away that was. A huge thank you to our GM and Wet Pussy who put together a weekend of eating, drinking, bush bashing in light rain and scenic walks along the Yarra River in autumn sunshine. A riverside breakfast was also provided Sunday morning to send us on our merry way back to Melbourne. I get the feeling that weekends away could become an annual event. Now Kokup, at this very moment, is plotting a recovery run from the Harp of Erin Hotel. Will he go easy on our weary legs - not he!

Dear Lakeside Hashers
Well done Udder! He is bringing us back to a very familiar venue. Our last visit was in September 2019. The next 2 years it was closed during Covid. I know this because Lethal wanted to set his pizza run from here but they weren’t answering their phones. So we are back and supporting a venue getting re-established. The area that we use could be called indoor/outdoor, both parts being heated, offering a cosy environment to dine in after another of Udders superbly ‘crafted' Hash runs! On On!
The details are:
Run 2043
Date: Wednesday May 11th
Hare: Udder
Venue: On Top Bar, 483 North Rd, Ormond (corner North Rd & Newham Grove).
Parking: Newham Grove
Circle up: 6.45pm
Food: burgers and dumplings.
Drinks: local crafted beer from the bar.
Comfort: heated indoor/outdoor areas.
Bring: torches.
Getting there:
- by car - Melways map 68 D8
- by train - to Ormond Station on the Frankston Line.
Additional
* Hash Weekend Away - May 13 - 15th, Alpine Hotel, Warburton, Melways map 290 A4 (on the right just past the RSL).
* Full Moon Hash - Saturday May 14th - meet Alpine Hotel Warburton 1pm for 1.30 start.
* Next weeks run: Harp of Erin Hotel, Kew East. Hares: Kokup & Punch.
