A quick note

Greetings all Just a very quick note to let you know that I have started work on a Covid safe plan for when we can eventually begin to get back to a semblance of normality and make a stuttering start back to runs And, I had a call from GG yesterday - he is totally over the iso and I guess that he is feeling additionally isolated and out of touch because he does not use the internet. It is his 79th birthday today - hopefully we can celebrate his 80th next year in a Covid free or new Covid normal world. He has some health issues - unrelated to his cancer which seems to be well under control - but he says he is generally managing well. Apologies for limited messages - apart from there being not much to say at the moment - I have actually got a couple of work deadlines to meet ON ON Stay Covid safe Cyclone

Lakeside Zoom Tonight

Well tonight we had two special returnees all the way from Cambridge UK join us for our Lakeside zoom. Also in attendance were Egg & Bacon Pie hosting, Point Post, NickelB, Cheesecake, HoorayCO and Bollywood. Crabbo and Upper Class Tart filled us in on what’s happening with them and we chatted about what’s happening with us. We went thru the answers to the Quiz. Next week we’ll meet again as usual. Lakeside Hash Zoom Treasure Hunt - tonight at 7.30pm

Dear Lakesiders, As promised (threatened) EnB is inviting you to the regular scheduled Lakeside Zoom Meeting with an irregular theme. As mentioned last week, this will be a Hash TREASURE HUNT. I warned you that hints would be drip fed to you on the day, with the entire list of Treasure to be hunted sent to you in a list by 5pm AEST, 9th September. These are your first 3 items to hunt down and display: 1. A photograph of the oldest Hasher you can find; 2. The oldest piece of hash trash from any hash event; 3. YOU to be wearing a disguise, looking like a bit of treasure yourself, and ready for a party! Have your items and be appropriately disguised, ready to show all on tonight. Topic: Lakeside Treasure Hunt Time: 7.30pm Details: Egg & Bacon Pie will send a list of hash related items you are to bring to the zoom meeting. The sending of the list will be some time on Wednesday 9th September ... sometime before the zoom meeting. Watch out for it - you might have stax of time or precious little to get yourself organized. Bear in mind that items listed might not initially SEEM to be related to Hash, but you need to be able to convince the participants that the Treasure you have found is actually Hash stuff. Lakeside zoom Meeting report

Topic: Lakeside HHH zoom meeting of Wed 2 Sep Present were Egg & Bacon Pie, Pointy, Cheesie, Lotsafun and NickelB, Cyclone and Blackbeard. Blackbeard joined us from KL where he was about to set off on a hash run through the palm plantations with the hash. He introduced us to some fellow hashers - but more likely he was name dropping about being mates with Melbournians. I mean, doesn’t everyone want to be a Melbournian at the moment! NickelB and Egg & Bacon Pie were the only contesters of the photo competition and Cheesie chose NickelB again. So instead of letting him choose next week’s activity again, we talked about other stuff and social sec decided that next week will be a Treasure Hunt. See further emails with details next Wednesday. Vale We noted the passing of two long-time Aussie hashers: - Glider (Kevin McGlinn) from Bendigo HHH a long time ago and more recently from Ballarat HHH, partner of Exit (ex-Melbourne Ladies) and - Whorator (Frank Benfield), originally from Jakarta HHH , then Bangkok, Dirt Road and more recently Malloolabah and Dinner Creek HHHs in Qld, hubby to Clare.
