our half minds with a quiz.

Never fear …. This meeting will run by Pythag… so come along.
Our illustrious, untested, GM, Pythagorarse, will be conducting the meeting, starting at 7pm for a mere 40 minutes.
Who knows what surprises he has in store. Will it be Grand Final-related, or hash history, or just a general knowledge quiz? Come along with some pictures, a background, some hash or footy clobber and jokes or songs.
C you at 7!

Hey Lakesiders
Except for trying to stop the spread ... Dan isn't doing us any favours.
The combination of Curfews, No Pubs, limited gatherings, and no alcohol in
parks is not the kind of hash experience we want. So, another delay ...
till late next month
So, If vaccinations go well ... we will schedule our next run for the 27th
October... but stay tuned. We will inform you by email if there is a
change.

The legendary E &B has been running the occasional Lakeside Zoom Hashes 7pm
Wednesdays - and they are a great chance for Lakesiders to catch up and
have a refreshment after a run/walk. Zoom links will be advertised by email.

Balls up has been postponed for one whole year. Please re-mark your diaries for 22 October 2022.
MLH3 Balls Up is postponed due to Covid Restrictions
Hi Everyone - Guten Tag !
This email shouldn’t come as any great surprise, nevertheless due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions we’re postponing this year’s Oktoberfest Balls Up until …..drum roll…… 22nd October 2022.
Like you, we’re super disappointed however health and safety always comes first. We have everything crossed that our 3rd attempt (3rd time lucky) to hold our fun Oktoberfest themed Balls Up next year will proceed as we really can’t wait to boogie with you on the dance floor …all night long! We will be back in touch soon with our updated Balls Up flyer – hope your dancing shoes can wait a little longer!
Stay safe !
MLH3 Balls Up Committee
Corona Sunrise Cocktail
How To Make
1. Drink or pour out a bottle of Corona down to the top of the label and add tequila.
2. Add orange juice halfway up the neck.
3. Add a splash of grenadine.
4. Squeeze the juice from a lime wedge into the bottle then plug with your finger and flip once to mix.
Remember that beer is carbonated and you shouldn’t shake this drink.
It tastes like a sweeter and fruitier Corona beer. The tequila is pretty much hidden which means one or two of these drinks will have you feeling like the life of the party.

EnB is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting this Wednesday at 7pm.
We may not be in the usual grip of footy fever that Melbourne usually enjoys at this time of year but this year especially we should be euphoric. So in lieu of Prince’s Grand Finał run, lets get together with a quiz.
Wear ya footy colours.
And be sure to have your Mobile phone close by as we might make it a kahoot.

Dear All,
As you might have known, the LOW at Seaford planned for next Tuesday will be
cancelled.
I will organise it for a date when there is some certainty that it can take
place.
However, lockdowns can be a time for reflection. I thought that some of you
may like this short poem by Percy Shelley (1792-1822).
To me, it encapsulates the fate that befalls all dictators and tyrants in
the past, the present and the future.
Ozymandias
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."
