Dear Lakeside Hashers
Welcome to 2022 and our first run for the year from Gumbri Park also known as Batman Park, Northcote. This renaming in 2017 was looked upon as a positive community sentiment in the renaming of the park, reflecting the communities enthusiasm of reconciliation. That the name Batman still dominates the entrance is explained thus: Feedback also explored retaining the visibility of Batman in the park in some form, rather than a simple name replacement. This would provide an opportunity for keeping all layers of history visible, raising awareness and acknowledging the past with respect.

Hey Lakesiders
Hope all had a Hashy Christmas ...
We have a final run for the year put on by the experienced team of E&B and
COOCH - bound to be good and the atmosphere will be "Party" as we send off
2021.
As numbers are very uncertain at this festive time ... this shindig will be
difficult to cater for . we ask that you all bring something to slap on
the BBQ - or, Picnic food to help with the Nosh. Also, throw in a plate and
cutlery to assist with the progress of food to stomach. The astute and
reliable POINTY will be in attendance with drinks for sale.

Bring your ho ho hos
For a merry old chat,

Dear Lakeside Hashers
For this run, Botak has come up with a new venue - Orrong Park, used during the winter to play rugby - yes that strange game where they bang their heads together! - and summer to play cricket. Getting there by train to Toorak Station is the best public transport option as a walking track will take you to directly the ground. Having had a run recently in the area, the hare could take us in the other direction, over High Street where we are possibly venturing into new territory with a maize of lane ways, blind alleys, dinky little streets and walkways that will tie us up in knots. I think we will earn our pizza!
The details are:
Run 2021
